Rains trouble the lives in Chennai

The incessant, record breaking rainfall in the Chennai and its suburbs could reduce this burgeoning metropolis by the coast into islands of misery, but not break the resilience of its people. With rivers swelling and submerging bridges and lakes in the suburbs overflowing their banks,several thousands of people were left homeless or stranded in their homes without food, water and electricity.

‘Swaraksha’ to put a stop to trafficking

A caravan campaign imitated by the organisation(PRAJWALA) jointly with the US Consulate General, Hyderabad.
They will be a part of an awareness campaign which will be held across all the districts of Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana,where volunteers will talk to citizens and caution them against trafficking. The campaign will begin from January 9 in Hyderabad.
The General secretary Prajwala, Sunitha Krishnan said that after West Bengal, A.P. and Telangana have the highest number of girls who are trafficked to countries like Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai and other middle-east countries.

Boeing and TASL sign Joint Venture to make fuselage for Apache helicpoters in Hyderabad.
In a major leap forward for Telangana in the aerospace sector, IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao, top executives of Boeing India and Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) have announced setting up of a facility on the outskirts of the city to make the fuselage for Apache helicopters.
Government planning to set up skill development and training facilities as aerospace and defence sectors and need skilled workforce.
The finer details of the extent of land to be made available, the exact location and the timelines are yet to be firmed up.
This will benefit the 1,00 odd small and medium enterprises already working in the sector.
Nadirgul, Eliminedu aeroparks are to be added along with the Adibatla aerospace park in Telangana.


AMRUT : Centre releases funds for TS, AP.
The Atal Mission, launched in June this year, envisages provision of water supply and sewerage connections in 500 mission cities besides supply of 135-litre water per day on priority. The central government has relaesed Rs.60.08 crore for AP and Rs.40.85 Crore for Telangana  as the first installment under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation for the current financial year.
The union urban development minisry announced release of 1,602.27 crore to 13 states. This forms part of Atal Mission action plans for the current fiscla year entailing investment of Rs.11,671.76 crore in 286 cities in 13 states.

Cyber Forensic cell to nail the corrupt
Soon, Telangana ACB would expertise the retrieving details from elcetronic gadgets such as computers, smart-phones and tablets to nail the accused facing corruption cases. ACB is observing ‘Anti-Corruption Week’ from December 3 to 9 coinciding with the International Anti-Corruption Day on December 9 observed by United Nations Convention Against Corruption. ACB toll free no. 1064 to be publicised through stickers, pamphlets, wall posters.

Facebook CEO Mark Zukerberg pledge 99% of thier shares for charity.
Facebook, co-founder Mark Zuckerberg announced on Tuesday that he was a dad, and pledged to give away his fortune to make the world a “better place” for baby daughter Maxima and others. The share include almost $45 billions.
