Telangana sanctions 60,000 houses
The Telangana government sanctioned construction of 60,000 two bed room houses under the 2 BHK housing scheme on Saturday. Out of this 36,000 were allotted in rural Telangana and 24,000 in urban areas.
A government official said each Assembly constituency will get 400 two bedroom houses in the rural-urban ratio of 240:160. The government has set the unit cost of houses in rural areas at Rs.5.04 lakh in urban area at 5.30 lakh. Ranga reddy and Hyderabad were sanctioned 5,600 and 6,000 houses respectively.
Telangana State to celebrate Konda Laxman birth centenary tomorrow
The TS government has decided to celebrate the birth centenary of Konda laxman bapuji,one of the first activists of the movement for separate statehood.The chief minister also recollected the services of former MP of Hyderabad G.S. Melkote.

Palamuru-Ranga Reddy Lift Irrigation Project to cater needs of Ranga Reddy district. The Project is expected to provide water for 16.5 lakh acres across Telangana including 5.19 lakh acres covering six assembly constitutiencies.
two reservoirs at Pamulaparthi in Wargal and tadakapally in siddipet mandal to be built under the project in Medak.
India Celebrates World Tourism day on September 27th
The tourism sector accounted for a foreign exchange earning of Rs.1,23,320 crores in 2014 registewring a growth of 14.5% over the previous year. India has moved up 13 dteps to reach 52nd position in the Travel and Tourism Competitve Index ranking of World Economic Forum, Switzerland. e-Visa is enabled for 113 countires.
